Quick Capture Help: Adding a Phone (Call Control)

Description
Quick Capture has the ability to control your phone from your computer. Once you add your phone into Quick Capture, you can auto dial contacts, transfer a call, conference multiple contacts, and more.

Accessing the Settings Window
To setup your phone for Quick Capture Call Control, you must first access the "Settings" window. This can be accomplished in one of two ways: you can click the "Settings" icon at the top left of your personal directory window. You may also access the "Settings" window by right clicking on the Quick Capture icon in the taskbar notification area and selecting the "Settings" menu item. The following image highlights the two options.

The Phone Tab
Once in the Settings window, navigate to the "Phone" tab. This section allows you to add and manage the phones you would like Quick Capture to control.

Adding a Phone
To add a phone, click the "Add" button. The "Add Phone" window will appear which will require the phone number and password of your phone. The required password is different from your Quick Capture password.

Once you have entered the required information, you can click the "OK" button and Quick Capture will then attempt to authorize your phone's number and password with the switch address provided.

Multiple Phones
If you have multiple phones in the phone list available for control, you can select which phone Quick Capture will use. Click to highlight one of the phones in the list. Then click the "Use Selected" button. The status column of the selected phone will then change to "On".
